Integris Cancer Institute of Oklahoma

Soon after completion of the Celebrating Oklahoma book we were called by a contract interior designer for Integris Health, an Oklahoma based health provider. They were six weeks from completion of their new Cancer Institute in NW Oklahoma City. After several meetings with their marketing and operations staff, we came up with a plan for installing photographic artwork from around Oklahoma throughout the facility. We constructed an art layout including sizes, placement and imagery that was appropriate for each area of the hospital. Once the artwork was printed, framed and completed we also installed all of the nearly 450 pieces throughout the hospital. In addition to the traditionally framed pieces, two special pieces were hung nearly 20 feet off the floor. The photo above shows the installation. Each of the eight panels shown in the photograph are 4’X8’. You should see these babies at night! Absolutely stunning. The installation has been in place for three years and we still get notes from patients and staff about the effect the artwork has had on their treatment or day to day.
