The Signature Series Print

Details matter so we are able to deliver the finest quality print to you every time. Your print is produced in our shop, using the latest generation Epson printer and only original Epson inks, which produce stunning depth, detail and subtlety. Our years of printing experience have taught us that paper matters, so we use the best papers available – the Hahnemühle Photo Rag 308, a 100% cotton rag artist’s paper which allows prints to look like platinum, palladium, watercolor, or other alternative print processes. The combination of lightfast pigment inks and heavyweight fine art archival papers ensure that your print will look spectacular for decades to come. The image is printed on an over-sized sheet allowing for a 2″ to 3″ white border around the print.

The images in my Gallery Collection are available for purchase as Signature Series prints, as framed or unframed prints.

Print Inspection and Signature

All Signature Series prints are inspected by the artist, to be certain they meet our exacting standards of quality. The print is also hand-signed in the white border in the lower right corner of the print. Signature Series prints are signed with a pencil that in no way damages the print. Your Signature Series print also includes a Certificate of Authenticity detailing the date the photo was created and printed.

The Matte

We use Speedmount Foamcore to mount our prints and a Bainbridge matte in two colors—black or white. These colors were chosen for their timeless appeal and their flexibility; and because their slightly textured finish adds a great dimensionality to your prints. The white, stay-bright inner core or the matte-black finish provide depth to your project and are acid-free, eco-friendly, archival-quality and fade-proof.

Mike Klemme personally mattes and signs every print to ensure consistency and that the highest quality craftsmanship is maintained through the production of your order.

We are able to provide custom cutouts on your mattes, at your request, if you are interested in adding your corporate logo, a donor name, or a personal message. Please ask for more information when you place your order.

The Frames

We  are proud to use BonanzaWood® for all of our framed products. BonanzaWood molding is engineered to exhibit properties superior to traditional woods, and was conceived as an affordable and renewable wood source which has quickly become the industry standard for value and consistency.

BonanzaWood is a select stock of perfectly engineered composite wood, with a very smooth, fine-textured surface. It cuts like wood, joins like wood, and readily accepts nails and hangers, delivering a premium quality product while also being the environmentally friendly choice.

We offer our frames in the following molding profiles in black and mocha.

The Glass

The best choice, and the clear one (pardon our pun!), is Tru-Vue Glass. While being a more expensive option, Tru-Vue Glass is UV blocking, low reflection and will do more than protect your print—it actually enhances the image behind it because of its high-performance, custom coating.

We believe the choice of glass should be intentional, and not an afterthought. After all, what would be the point of investing in top-of-the-line cameras, lenses, printers and paper, only to cover it with bargain glass? For that reason, we choose Tru-Vue Glass for all our work, because it is known as a leader and innovator in the protection and conservation of all things framed. Museums and galleries, curators and artists world-wide agree.

After all the effort we put into taking, printing, matting and framing your images, we want them to arrive safely to you on the first try. We care so much about this often-overlooked step that we commissioned custom packaging so your framed works are protected as they travel to your doorstep. Without going into all the details of the plastic casing, the bubble wrap, the cardboard guards, the “just-right box,” the heavy duty tape and the good wishes we put into each package, believe us when we say we make every effort to be sure your project arrives in picture-perfect condition.

Your prints are custom printed just for you and usually ship within two weeks of receiving your order. Occasionally, we are all away on photographic expeditions or major installations at the same time, which slows things down a little bit. If your order is time-sensitive, please let us know so that we can give you a more specific delivery date. Your print will be shipped via standard ground shipping with tracking and it will be insured. If you prefer expedited shipping, just ask and we can arrange that for an additional cost.

If you are nearby and would like to pick up your order personally, let me know and we are happy to accommodate that as well.
